Thomas A. Cervone

Mr. Cervone, currently in his 18th season, is both proud and flattered, to serve as the Managing/Program Director for the Clarence Brown Theatre and the Department of Theatre at UT Knoxville. He actively participates in the planning and implementation of all theatre productions, from play selection to play production; supervises box office, marketing and public relations, front of house and production budgets; negotiates contracts to hire all visiting artists; and, when time permits, teaches in the undergraduate Acting curriculum. Tom also serves as the liaison with local, regional, national, and international theatre organizations. He has and continues to serve on numerous committees for the University of Tennessee, Clarence Brown Theatre Advisory Board, as well as the Executive and Negotiating committees for the League of Resident Theatres. Tom received his undergraduate degree in Speech and English Education with an emphasis in Theatre from West Liberty State College in West Virginia. He received his Master of Fine Arts degree from UT Knoxville, and has been with the University since that time.
