Mr. Cervone (Program/Managing Director) is currently celebrating his 21st season with the CBT, 16th as its principal administrator. Tom is flattered and grateful for this challenging yet most rewarding opportunity, serving in this capacity for the CBT and the Department of Theatre at UTK. He actively participates in the planning and implementation of all theatre productions, from play selection to play production; negotiates contracts to hire all visiting artists; and, when time permits, teaches in the undergraduate acting curriculum. Tom also serves as the liaison with local, regional, national, and international theatre organizations. He has and continues to serve on numerous committees for the University of Tennessee, the CBT Advisory Board, the Board of Directors for the Arts and Cultural Alliance of Knoxville, as well as the Executive and Negotiating committees for the League of Resident Theatres (LORT). Tom received his undergraduate degree in Speech and English Education with an emphasis in Theatre from West Liberty State College in West Virginia. He received his MFA degree from UTK, and is currently enrolled in the Professional MBA program at the University of Tennessee. Tom has recently been elected and is honored to be a member of Leadership Knoxville, Class of 2011, "the best class ever."
