The house manager supervises a team of volunteer ushers who carry out the various duties of assisting you at performances. The house manager also works to make your theatre experience safe as well as enjoyable. Any emergency or safety hazard should be immediately brought to the attention of the house manager. All cameras and recording devices are strictly prohibited in all auditoriums. Patrons using these devices will be asked to leave the theatre.
The CBT asks that you turn off all pagers and telephones during performances, as they are disturbing to both the audience and the performers.
Coffee, hot chocolate and Coke products are available at the refreshment stand in the lobby before performances and during intermission. Food and beverages are not permitted inside any of the CBT auditoriums.
Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the House Manager and may have to wait for an appropriate time to be seated. Latecomers will be seated in a designated section and will be able to take their regularly assigned seats at intermission.
Smoking is strictly prohibited in any CBT facility.
The CBT provides special seating arrangements for our physically disabled patrons. Please call 865-974-8287 to inform our staff of your special needs and the house manager will provide you with quick and efficient assistance.
UT Disability Services provides interpreters for the deaf and hearing impaired during the first regular Thursday evening performance of each production. Hearing/listening devices are available at no charge at the CBT Box Office.
If an emergency occurs during any CBT performance, the house manager will provide you with appropriate assistance. If you are involved in or witness an accident or medical emergency while at one of our facilities, contact the house manager immediately. The House Manager’s emergency number is 865-974-8287 and can be called at any time during the performance. Please check with the House Manager or Box Office to make sure your name and seat number are recorded so we can alert you immediately in the event of an emergency.
In the event we must cancel a performance due to inclement weather, we will broadcast the closure on WUOT 91.9 FM. You may also call the Box Office at 865-974-5161 to determine whether a performance has been cancelled. In the event of cancellation due to inclement weather, we will gladly exchange your tickets for another date during the run of the performance.
The CBT makes every attempt in good faith to perform the shows and adhere to the schedules described in our season brochure. However, we reserve the right to make title and schedule changes due to any circumstances that prohibit the production of any previously scheduled performances. Refunds will not be issued due to a change in a production’s title or performance schedule.
